Charleston Radio Host Aisha Thurston Interviews GCPIE

On Thursday, May 23 two members of the Greater Charleston Parents Involved in Education were invited to participate in a discussion about Common Core National State Standards on The Journey with Aisha, a Charleston community radio talk show on the KineticHiFi radio network.

Greg Adams and Linda Ensor spoke out about what they see as very negative consequences of the common core standards.  They explained how CCS was passed in South Carolina, who was responsible, what the negatives are (including the complete lack of a budget projection at the time of passing), and what our citizens can do to block the passing of the science and history standards.  As they learn what the standards really entail, citizens across the state and the nation are fighting to bring control of our children's education back to our states, our own teachers, and our parents.

Once the KineticHiFi network has this show available on archives, we will update this blog so you can listen yourself.
