Thanks to the Palmetto Liberty PAC

We were invited by Talbert Black to have a discussion with the Palmetto Liberty Political Action Committee Tuesday evening in Lexington, SC. After some very good information about the efforts in the SC Statehouse on pending legislation, we reviewed an informational video on Common Core National Standards. A discussion ensued afterwards from topics ranging from the Longitudinal databases, home schooling, pending legislation, public involvement, and the bipartisan nature of the "Stop Common Core" movement.

The two bills in the South Carolina legislature are H3943 and S0300 are mired in the typical shenanigans of power and money that Talbert Black spoke about. We agree that until we clean up that mess in the statehouse, meaningful reforms like these will be few and far between.

Mr Bates of GCPIC made arrangements to deliver more information to the PAC for distribution to the membership mailing list that will help them become activists on Common Core.

Thanks to Mr Black and the entire membership for your hospitality !
